Pianist

Ferdinando Mussutto graduated in piano with full marks from the conservatoire “J. Tomadini” in Udine at the age of 20. He subsequently studied with Maestros P. Rattalino, A. Lucchesini, D. Rivera and D. De Rosa, achieving a distinction at the chamber music finishing course of the Trio di Trieste School of Music. He has played in Europe, Latin America and China, receiving much acclaim as a soloist, chamber pianist and accompanist. He has collaborated with international artists such as F. Mondelci, M. Marzi, M. Gerboni, D. Nordio, L. Degani, A. Dell'Oste, covering a very wide repertoire that not only includes the key classical piano pieces, but also several works composed over the last decades.

As far as contemporary music is concerned, Mussutto has played at several festivals such as the Venice Biennial Music Festival, the Festival "L. Nono" in Trieste, and has performed a first-time recording of chamber works by the German composer Arnold Schoendlinger.

He was awarded the Carinthicum 2010 prize by the CarinthiaArtis (A) Association in 2010.
