Principal clarinet at the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra of Amsterdam, is considered among the most important clarinetists of the international scene. He served as principal clarinet in the orchestra of the Teatro "V. Bellini "in Catania (1993-1996), at the Orchestra of the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma (1997-2008, 2012-2015) and at the Orchestra National de France (2008-2011).

Winner of the International Competition "Jeunesses Musicales" in Bucharest and many other national contests as "A. Ponchielli "of  Cremona, "G. Briccialdi" of Terni, "Boario Musica". He has an intense concert career that let him to perform in different countries  (Italy, Spain, Germany, Tunisia, Russia, Sweden, Austria, France, Switzerland, Greece, Hungary, Romania, Czech Republic, Holland, China, Taiwan, Japan, Canada, USA) working with prestigious conductors such as Kurt Masur, Riccardo Muti, Valery Gergiev, Sir Colin Davis, Yuri Temirkanov, Daniele Gatti, John Eliot Gardiner, Daniel Harding, Andris Nelsons, Iván Fischer, Neemi Järvi, Charles Dutoit. He has recorded for B.M.G. Ricordi, Riverberi Sonori, Fonè, Accord for music-Roma, “Trio Zecchini” , Wicky Edition, Cristal Records. Many of his performances have been broadcast by various radio and television stations: RAI, RAI SAT, Vatican Radio, the Romanian National Television, Radio France, Radio Tre, France Musique and RaiTrade.

Among the authors who have created music dedicated to him, Luis Bacalov, Renato Chiesa, Claudio Cimpanelli, Antonio Fraioli and Nunzio Ortolano. Alongside his concert activity also the didactic one that sees him involved in several of advanced Courses and Master Classes in Italy and abroad (Mozarteum Salzburg, CRR de Paris, University of Gothenburg, Conservatoire de Lyon, Tokyo University of the Arts, Malmö Academy of Music, Conservatoires Liceu de Barcelona). From 2015 he was nominated "Professeur Conférencier" for the clarinet class at the IMEP Institut Supérieur de Musique et de Pédagogie de Namur (Belgium). He is author of the book "Soli d’ orchestra" for clarinet with piano accompaniment. He is regularly invited in the juries of the most important international competitions for clarinet.
