Daniele Bonini

Daniele Bonini began studying the piano under the guidance of Kim Wright and Valter Sivilotti. Then he was accepted at the Conservatory of Music “J. Tomadini” in Udine (ITA) in the class of Claudio Mansutti, where he graduated with honors. He holds a Master’s Degree in Collaborative Piano with honors and distinction from the Conservatory of Music “G. Verdi” in Milan where he studied with Umberto Finazzi and Luigi Marzola. He specialized also in Klavier-Vokalbegleitung (Piano-Vocal Accompaniment) at the Kustuniversität in Graz with Julius Drake and Stacey Bartsch, obtaining the diploma of Advanced Studies.
As a winner of more than 40 national and international Soloist and Chamber Music competitions (among others the Luigi Nono International Chamber Music Competition in Torino, Svirél International Music Competition in Slovenia, Grand Prize Virtuoso Competition in Paris, Rising Stars Grand Prix in Berlin, the Marcello Pontillo International Music Competition in Florence, the Costantine The Great International Competition in Serbia) he has attended several piano solo performance Masterclasses held by Daniel Rivera, Marian Mika, Juris Zvikovs, Riccardo Zadra and Paolo Bordoni. He has also improved his Chamber Music repertoire (both instrumental and vocal) with Bruno Canino, Trio di Parma, Janis Maleckis, Pei-Shan Lee, Emanuela Piemonti, Stelia Doz, Daniela Uccello, Erik Battaglia, Guido Salvetti, Luisa Castellani and, at the Chigiana Academy of Siena, with Alexander Lonquich, obtaining a diploma of merit.
He has performed in various concert halls in Italy, Austria, Germany, China, France, Spain, England, Slovenia, Turkey, Croatia, Switzerland and the USA, including the “Kammermusiksaal” of the Berlin Philharmonic, the “Puccini” hall and the “Verdi” hall of the Conservatory of Milan, the Historical Museum of Frankfurt, the Verdi Theater of Pordenone, the “Giovanni da Udine” Theater, the Aula Magna of the Polytechnic of Turin, the San Babila Theater, the Museum of the ‘900 and Casa Verdi of Milan; as well as for important music festivals and concert seasons such as the “Gamper Festival of Contemporary Music” in the United States, the “Ticino Musica” in Lugano, MITO in Milan and Turin, the Quartet Society, the Concert Society and the Humanitarian Society in Milan, the “Ceren Necipoglu International Harp Festival” in Istanbul, the XXIII season “Classic Polincontri” in Turin, the Accademia Chigiana in Siena.
He collaborates with the National Conservatory of Music “J. Tomadini” in Udine and the National Conservatory of Music “G. Tartini” in Trieste having been given the assignment of collaborative pianist for instrumental and vocal classes. He previously worked at the same position at the National Conservatory of Music “G. Verdi” in Milan and the National Conservatory of Music “G. Verdi” in Como. He is the official piano accompanist of the International Music Competition organized by the Humanitarian Society in Milan. In addition to concert activity, he holds the position of Professor of piano practice and reading at the National Conservatory of Music “G.Verdi” in Ravenna. He has collaborated with renowed musicians: cellists Enrico Bronzi, Stefano Cerrato, Thomas Carroll, Maja Bogdanović, Marko Miletic; saxophonists Jean-Marie Londeix, Claude Delangle, Johannes Thorell, Mario Marzi, Daniel Gauthier; flutist Adriana Ferreira; bassoonist Valentino Zucchiatti; euphonist Steven Mead; opera singers Katia Ricciarelli, Viktoria Nikitchenko, Luciana d’Intino, Nicholas Isherwood, Paoletta Marrocu.
In 2012 he won the 2nd edition of the International Program “Working with Music” and was given five months professional experience at the Opéra in Lyon as an accompanist and assistant to the artistic activity of the theatre. He has specialized in the accompaniment of opera singers under the guidance of Mirella Freni and Paola Molinari at the CUBEC Academy of. He was also selected as a collaborative pianist for the third edition of the “Exzellenz-Labor Gesang//Opera” in Germany, for the Bowdoin International Music Festival (Maine), the “Wintergreen Summer Music Festival” (Virginia) and for the Miami Music Festival, collaborating with renowned artists such as Hedwig Fassbender, Fausto Nardi, René Massis, Umberto Finazzi, Pei-Shan Lee, Arianna Zukerman, Heather Johnson. In 2020 he recorded a cd of music by A. Piazzolla and P. Iturralde together with the saxophonist Simone Moschitz, published by the classical music magazine “Suonare News”. Furthermore, he consistently performs as a duo with the violinist Christian Sebastianutto. He also recorded for Radio Classica.
